Abandonment and Neglect
God created us to be unique, relational beings with an intrinsic desire to be loved and belong. Sadly, for many people, that has not been their experience. No matter what your life experiences have been, you are still worthy to be loved, cared for, and respected. Sometimes there are people in our lives who have been unable to meet these needs, which leaves us feeling broken and disregarded. My goal in our therapeutic relationship would be to help you rebuild trust with others and confidence in your personal value based on the Creator’s design and not on your life experiences.

Anxiety
Are you ready to take your life back? Are you ready to tell fear and anxiety to go and never return? We can “feel” anxious, but it does not have to take over our lives and hinder our ability to move forward with the plans that God has for us. Aging and Geriatric Issues
Growing older is a natural part of life but as people age, some may experience certain life changes that impact their mental health. Changes that require balancing both physical and emotional concerns, coping with a serious illness or grieving the loss of a loved one can sometimes feel overwhelming. Although many people will adjust to these life changes, some may experience feelings of grief, social isolation, or loneliness. Knowledge regarding options of care, clear communication of feelings, and making decisions that everyone involved will accept may require the help of a counselor. I would be honored to walk with you down this path.

Depression
Depression is a thief. It can steal from every aspect of our lives, and can even make getting up in the morning seem next to impossible. When struggling with depression, our thoughts and emotions overtake us, and we struggle to get out from under the weight of it all. During our sessions together, we will work to reframe those thoughts and, in return, begin to change our emotions.
As difficult as it may be in the beginning, getting active and taking small steps to change our daily routines into healthy ones will go a long way in the healing process. We will work together to consult the Word of God for Scriptures of hope and encouragement that will sustain us on the tough days and feed our souls.

Trauma
Unfortunately, many of us have experienced some type of trauma during our lifetime. A single traumatic event can cause significant changes that may leave us unable to understand why we act the way we act, why we think the way we think, or why we make the choices we make. We may not understand why something seemingly insignificant can cause us to respond in a disproportionate way.
For Christian clients, it is essential that we combine the process of healing trauma with the Word of God. During the healing process, I will help you walk through the truth of the gospel in order to bridge the sufferer with the One who is more than able to heal. During our time together, I will help you explore the hidden places of your heart and mind that you might be unaware of.
I will help you look at yourself through the eyes of Christ without judgment and come to a deeper self-awareness of the healing that He offers to you as a free gift. Together, you and I will create a safe place for you to openly share your story and begin the healing process so that you are able to learn to live a life of peace and joy with a future and a hope.

Women’s Issues
Being uniquely created as a woman alive in this day and age can be the greatest blessing, but it can also feel like an unbearable weight to carry. We are often called to juggle various roles and responsibilities within our families and in the workplace that at times leave us feeling drained. Let’s look at what the Word of God has to say about who you were created to be and how you can face your days with strength and purpose and not exhaustion and regret. We can work together to navigate through life challenges that are specific to you, including dating/relationships, marriage, career, conceiving, pregnancy, postpartum, parenting, menopause, and everything in between. Nothing is off limits for you to share, and you can be confident knowing that you are in good company.

Deeper Healing Opportunities
Inner Healing
Sometimes counseling can only take us so far and we need to go deeper to fully address the difficult wounds of the past and to deal with generational curses. ungodly beliefs, and soul wounds that continue to plague us. Through the leading of the Holy Spirit I walk women through the inner healing process that brings more lasting healing and wholeness than traditional counseling alone.
Deliverance
There are times when there are stubborn areas in our lives that we need someone trained to help walk us through. Sometimes areas of demonic strongholds are revealed by the leading of the Holy Spirit that have to be dealt with so that we can walk in the full victory that Christ paid for on the cross. I am also equipped to walk women through this area of healing outside of traditional counseling.
